A new town is being proposed in the Shire of Dundas, approximately 35km west of Eucla near the Nullarbor Plain.

Laurene Bonza, President of the Shire of Dundas, which currently has fewer than 800 residents, told Perth Today  host Simon Beaumont that the 8,000 additional workers associated with the proposed Western Green Energy Hub could place significant pressure on the region’s sensitive environment.

She added, “I just can’t get my head around how they’re going to practically manage it.”
