6PR Breakfast presenter Gareth Parker says WA residents should have confidence in the state government’s border opening plan.

From 12:01am, Saturday 5 February 2022, WA will ease interstate and international borders under its Safe Transition Plan.

Gareth has spent the past three weeks in Florida in the US and is now in Sydney, and says while life is “different”, it’s not chaotic.

“It is not the end of the world,” he said on 6PR Breakfast.

“Yes there will be problems, I think that we should try not to be exacerbating, and hyping up and causing chaos around these problems, but trying to learn the lessons we’ve learned from elsewhere.

“And fixing those problems and addressing them in a calm common-sense manner as we go.

“So as I say, if you’ve been a strong supporter of the Premier over the last two years, have confidence that he and his team are continuing on the right path.”
