Liam Bartlett has criticised the WA health minister for claiming that the eastern states are “in-all but name lockdowns.”

“If she was watching the tennis crowds in Melbourne or the beach crowds in Sydney, they are most certainly not in lockdown.”

The 6PR Mornings host reflected the feelings of many West Australians on the COVID confusion over the Fiona Stanley Hospital case on the weekend.

“The COVID protocols down at Fiona Stanley failed dismally on Saturday night didn’t they?” he said.

“A mum and her daughter were directed to sit in the paediatric waiting room with a whole bunch of other patients despite the mum telling the nurse they were both COVID positive.”
