An Australian-led study has found that LED lights may deter great white shark attacks. Professor Nathan Hart from Macquarie University explained to 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl how the LED lights disrupt the sharks’ ability to see silhouettes.

“We are testing an old theory that some of the attacks by great white sharks could be cases of mistaken identity,” he said

Karl questioned whether the testing took Western Australian conditions into account.
