‘Leading-edge’ vault to store nuclear waste in WA

The designers of a “geological repository” have ensured low-level radioactive waste will be stored safely in WA.
Tellus Holdings Chief Executive Nate Smith told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast the company had spent 13 years planning and designing the waste facility in the Goldfields.
Mr Smith said the underground vault was “almost a marriage of leading-edge science and natural protections” which would prevent a wide range of hazardous waste from affecting the environment.
