Cancer Council WA is calling for tighter controls on the online sale and delivery of alcohol after a new study showed people could get alcohol delivered while intoxicated, didn’t have to show ID and was often left unattended.

Once ordered, people were often targeted with alcohol ads.

Cancer Council WA alcohol program manager Danica Keric told Jo McManus on 6PR Afternoons alcohol delivery services are dangerous.

“These rapid online delivery companies are putting people in the community at risk,” said Ms Keric.

“Our laws have failed.”
