Latest COVID-19 figures: WA records a week of zero transmissions

Western Australia has recorded seven consecutive days of no new coronavirus cases. Of the 551 confirmed cases, just 14 remain active.
April 17 was the last day in WA when a transmission occurred that did not come from either a returned traveller or cruise ship passenger.
Announcing the figures this morning, Premier Mark McGowan said he expects the state will be in a position to release a road map to lifting restrictions as early as this weekend.
Latest COVID-19 Figures:
- 0 new cases today.
- Current WA total – 551
- 528 people have recovered – leaving 14 ACTIVE cases.
- 7 of the active cases are in hospital (3 in ICU).
- To date – 49,892 people have been tested.
- Total deaths to date – 9.
