Western Australia has recorded another day of no new coronavirus cases. Of the 552 confirmed cases, just seven cases remain active.

WA businesses that plan to open next Monday May 18 will need to prepare a COVID Safety Plan. They will need to display a poster signifying that they have prepared the plan.

Small Business Minister Paul Papalia said hospitality venues will also be required to display that COVID Hygiene Safety training has been completed by staff

“We are on the pathway to a freer environment providing we protect what we have achieved to date,”said Mr Papalia.

Latest COVID-19 Figures:

  • 0 new cases today
  • Current WA total – 552
  • 536 people have recovered – leaving 7 ACTIVE cases.
  • 4 of the active cases are in hospital (1 in ICU).
  • 1 of the active cases is regional – in the Goldfields
  • 56,098 people have been tested 
  • Total deaths to date – 9
