Cricket legend Justin Langer is confident Australia can overcome recent struggles with form and injury ahead of their World Cup opener against India tomorrow.

Langer told Mark Readings and Lee Spurr on 6PR’s Weekend Warriors the national side have the talent capable of winning the World Cup.
“There hasn’t been much continuity but they’ll take some encouragement from the fact that it’s similar to when we won the T20 World Cup a couple of years ago,” Langer said.
“They’ve got a lot of very experienced players who have won world cups before and I think that’ll be a real bonus for them.”

Langer also backed WA opener Cameron Bancroft to return to the test side this summer following the 30-year-old’s impressive Sheffield Shield form.
