Labor MPs Chris Tallentire and Darren West have been chastised by their Labor party superiors for sharing ‘distasteful jokes’ on Twitter.

The tweets that were shared over the weekend refer to Liberal Canning by-election candidate Andrew Hastie and his time fighting the Taliban with the SAS.

As of Monday morning, the tweets had not been deleted by either MP.

Shadow Federal Minister for the Environment, Chris Tallentire, called Gary Adshead on Mornings to respond.
