Local Member for Labor Caitlin Collins wants Shalom House to be moved as she believes it threatens the safety of local residents in Craigie.

In particular, she is concerned about the proximity of the house to the local primary school.

Due to local government laws, Shalom House did not require a planning application, therefore was not approved by the local council.

Planning Minister Lisa Saffioti wants planning laws to be changed so this doesn’t happen again.
