Kirstie Alley, the star of Cheers and Drop Dead Gorgeous, passed away on Tuesday. She was 71.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told Millsy and Karl on his regular 6PR Breakfast segment that Kirstie’s involvement in politics and vocal support of Trump, may have contributed to the lack of tributes from celebrities.

“I have seen a few more tributes in the past couple hours – I’d say probably only 7 or 8 big name people have come forward to pay tribute to her and I’d say the best was Jamie Lee Curtis who worked with her,” he told Millsy and Karl.

“A lot of people basically cancelled her because of her political beliefs.”
