Former Liberal minister Ken Wyatt has quit the party over its opposition to the Voice to Parliament.

He was the first Aboriginal person to serve as minister for Indigenous Australians.

6PR and Nine News reporter Zac de Silva told Perth Live the party is divided.

“He still stands for liberal values but doesn’t believe in where the party’s been taken,” said Mr de Silva.

“This would have been a really tough decision for Ken Wyatt.”
