Premier Roger Cook and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese are in Karratha for a major announcement committing $4 million towards a feasibility study to build an oil refinery.

City of Karratha Mayor Daniel Scott told 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl that he did not receive an invitation to the event and has not been consulted by either the state or federal government.

“It is astounding that the amount of senior people in government who don’t know where Karratha is even though we inject $20 billion a year into the national economy,” he said.
