Junior rugby club makes desperate plea for new home with players currently ‘training in the dark’

The president of a WA junior rugby league club claims his request for the club to play home games at its old stomping ground – due to poor lighting at its current home – has been knocked back by the local shire.
Serpentine Jarrahdale Rugby League and Sporting Club president Dennis Hodges spoke to 6PR Radio Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said kids were currently being forced to train in the dark, with parents forced to use their car headlights so the club’s players had enough light to train.
The Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale president Rob Coales told Mr Peterson that he was doing all he could to work with the Club and find a solution.
