JobSeeker payments increase by $1.77 a day, but is it enough?

From March 20 people receiving JobSeeker payments will be given an extra $1.77 a day to help with the rising costs of living.

Australian Council of Social Service acting CEO Edwina MacDonald told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live this is not enough to help ease financial pressures.

“It’s woefully inadequate,” said Ms MacDonald.

“JobSeeker is less than half the minimum wage.”
