Jetta living the dream
West Coast Eagles recruit Lewis Jetta is living the dream playing AFL, even more so now he’s back home in Western Australia.
Jetta played 127 games for the Sydney Swans in six seasons before being traded in a straight swap for ruckman Callum Sinclair.
A Bunbury product, Jetta was overlooked in the 2007 draft and returned to play football in the Lower South West Football League before he re-joined Swan Districts in 2009 and was subsequently drafted.
‘There’s no thing I’d rather be doing than playing AFL or playing football for that matter,’ the 26-year-old Jetta said.
‘There’s no better feeling than waking up in the morning than knowing you’re going to the footy club to kick a footy around with 40 of your mates for a living.’
