John Farnham’s family says the music legend is “progressing well” and doctors are pleased with his recovery after undergoing surgery for mouth cancer.

It was announced last month the singer had a cancerous mouth tumor and underwent marathon 12-hour surgery in a Victorian hospital.

The Farnham family said in a statement the 73-year-old was this week transferred into a rehabilitation facility.
