“It’s quiet Oly”: Former State Treasurer describes the current scene in London

Ben Wyatt, Former State Treasurer landed in London this morning to the news the Queen had died.
As he spoke to Oliver Peterson on Perth Live he was passing Buckingham Palace on his way to a meeting.
“There are quite a few hundred people out the front, the flags are at half mast and plenty flowers being laid,” he told Oly.
“It’s quiet Oly, I think everyone is just reflecting a bit. It’s very quite for such a large crowd and obviously there’s a huge amount of the worlds media here as well reporting what is an extraordinary day.”
Mr Wyatt landed at 5am this morning in Heathrow Airport, where he described the scene as eerie when the information ripped through the plane.
“I suspect the English will be mourning the passing of the Queen quiet heavily for the next couple weeks.”
