‘It’s extraordinary’: Gary Adshead can’t fathom how Boris Johnson is still in power
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is defiantly staring down fresh attempts to oust him from No.10 Downing Street, sacking his political rival Michael Gove from cabinet after a frontbench delegation comprising some of his most loyal lieutenants told him to quit as prime minister.
The cabinet intervention came after the unprecedented mass resignation of more than 40 ministers and more than 100 Conservative MPs declared they no longer supported the prime minister.

6PR Mornings host Gary Adshead, in for Liam Bartlett this week, gave his views on Johnson’s reign and asked ex-pats in Perth what they thought.
“I have family connections in England who would still defend Boris Johnson, even now – they say he’s the best thing for the country as opposed to the Labor Party.
“It is extraordinary given all the issues he’s had.”
