The threat of foot and mouth disease is back and travellers returning from Indonesia are being warned to take extra care.

Federal Nationals Leader David Littleproud told 6PR Mornings the threat of the disease is high.

“We need to make sure not only is the government vigilant, but so too are Australians going there,” said Mr Littleproud.
