The locals of North Perth have launched a campaign to oppose the Town of Vincent’s application to develop a new petrol station on their beloved Angove street coffee strip.

Don Barba, campaign organiser of ‘Stop the Station’, told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live that the Angove street coffee strip is the “heart of North Perth.”

“It is a buzzing avenue that has evolved overtime and at the moment we are a little concerned about what will happen,” Mr Barba told Oly.

“It just amazes me that with the introduction of this development plan that we could lose the heart of North Perth.

“Our major concerns are the impact it will have to current businesses on Angove street. They had it very tough during the Covid period.”
