ISIS leader killed during US raid in Syria

The leader of Islamic State has been killed in a US special forces raid in north-west Syria overnight.
Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi led the terrorist group for just over two years.
Officials said the 45-year-old detonated a bomb that killed himself and members of his family at a house.
US President Joe Biden says al-Qurayshi played a key role in the 2014 Yazidi genocide in northern Iraq and his death sends a strong message to terrorists.
“We remain vigilant, we remain prepared,” he said.
