The price of a stamp is going up again, with the minimum stamp now costing $1.70.

With the community sending fewer letters than they did in the ’50s, Professor Paul Alexander from Curtin University explained to 6PR’s Gary Adshead how Australia Post has a social obligation to keep distributing letters.

“There’s more incentive now to not send letters commercially and to use online service,” he said
