‘I’m the luckiest man to live next door to you’

An Ashby couple who saved the life of their elderly neighbour say their police training helped them stay calm during a difficult situation.

Off duty officers Ingrid and Ryan Farrell ran to help after their neighbour Pat suffered a heart attack on Sunday afternoon – Ryan carried out CPR after finding the 84 year old not breathing and without a pulse.

Pat is now recovering in hospital but did manage to call in to Mornings on 6PR to tell Ingrid and Ryan just how thankful he is that they are his neighbours.
