A passenger has opened up about the terrifying moment he thought he was going to die after the QantasLink plane he was on started to nose over.

Simon Rushton told 6PR Breakfast the plane then started to go down and he has accused Qantas of downplaying the incident.

“This happened for at least 10 minutes, we were going up and down, up and down,” he said.

“Everyone on the flight thought they were going to die,” he added.
