As summer begins, the WA Police’s Strike Force Vulcan team reconvenes for its 16th season in the fight against arson.

Speaking to Perth Today host Chrissy Morrissy, Detective Senior Sgt Chris De Bruin of the WAPOL Arson Squad said that Strike Force Vulcan detectives, who identify and monitor arsonists for a rapid response to deliberate bushfires, are currently investigating the suspicious Geraldton fire.

“We just know that somebody had done something in that area to start the fire and investigations are still ongoing,” he said.
