Human dementia vaccine trials only a ‘couple of years away’
Australian medical researchers believe human trials of a dementia vaccine could be underway in the next couple of years.
Dr Nikolai Petrovsky, Professor of Medicine at Flinders University, the eventual human trials of the vaccine will be the culmination of more than 20 years of research.
Dr Petrovsky told Gary Adshead, on the 6PR Morning Program, tests on animals have already found the vaccine prevented or reversed dementia.
