How safe are ancestry DNA tests?

Nearly 7 millions have had their DNA data stolen, after hackers broke into genetic testing company 23andMe.
Law Professor at Bond University Dr Wendy Bonython told Jamie Burnett on Weekends that big data sets are an incredibly valuable commodity.
“You may not know who ends up buying those data sets,” she said.
“Those data sets are worth a fortune when they’re on-sold to companies involved in doing pharmaceutical research or biotech.”
