How one university is tackling Australia’s road rage problem

SUMMER AFTERNOONS

A shocking case of road rage was captured on Tonkin Highway yesterday afternoon.

The incident involved a taxi driver being thrown to the ground and punched repeatedly.

The Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC) has developed a program to help drivers reduce their aggressive driving.

Director of the MURAC Professor Stuart Newstead told 6PR Afternoons people should think about their aggression’s consequences.

“People do things in their vehicle they wouldn’t do in real life,” said Professor Newstead.
