Broadcasting veteran Ted Bull has been a regular voice on many an airwave in Western Australia and across Australia.

He started his career in Sydney and befriended another radio legend, John Laws, before their partying ways saw him part ways with his employer and head west to 6PR in Perth.

“I had achieved what I wanted to achieve at the age of 26 … I discovered in Sydney as a disc jockey I didn’t have to pay for anything,” he said.

“Blokes in their mid-20s, you know, they’re crazy. And so I came here to 6PR – best move I ever made.”

“Home is where the heart is and mine is in the west.

“You know, this is home, this is where our kids grew up, where our friends are, this is where we love being.”
