Social research has revealed a trend indicating Gen Z are less likely to link home ownership to financial success and now views real estate as an investment opportunity rather than a home. 

Social researcher Mark McCrindle told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons the younger generation are least likely to say that home ownership is the definition of the Australian dream. 

“They want a home for sure but they’re looking for a financial journey not just a financial destination.
