Special Olympics Australia says Perth is “well placed” to hold the 2027 special olympics.

The event is held every four years and has twice as many athletes at the Paralympics.

It’s also never been hosted in the southern hemisphere before.

Board Member of Special Olympics Tanya Brown says it will bring the country together.
