Hogan and Meek in line for Freo spot

Fremantle is yet to play their St Kilda recruit with Blake Acres suffering two small injuries to hold back his debut.

But Acres says he’s not far away from pulling on the purple after suffering a “grade 1 nick” in his calf just before he left for the Gold Coast hub.

“I felt pretty good a few days later, I was hopping and doing all my stuff again. I’ve done one running session since,” Acres told 6PR Breakfast.

He was also confident Jesse Hogan will make his return to the game this weekend when Fremantle face Port Adelaide on Sunday. Sean Darcy is out of the Fremantle side with a left knee injury so there is a spot to fill.
