City of Melbourne is poised to ban hire e-scooters from its CBD after it received a spate of complaints about them blocking footpaths and endangering pedestrians.

The council will vote at a meeting tonight to cancel the city’s contracts with operators Lime and Neuron.

Maurice Blackburn Principal Lawyer Alison Barrett told 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl the plaintiff law firm had a “huge number of inquires” in relation to e-scooters and people suffering injuries.
