A home in Hillarys sustained significant damage when a car ploughed into another car that then crashed through its carport.

6PR news reporter Sarah Smith said the Nissan X-Trail was travelling south along Mawson Crescent, approaching Flinders Avenue, when it left the road and hit the rear of a Nissan Qashqai 4WD, parked under a car port.

“It pushed that car forward inside the house, which ahs caused damage inside… not great news for them, luckily no one was injured inside the home at the time,” Smith told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast.

“A big cleanup task for the homeowners now, it is raining over the next few days, so that’s going to be even more of an issue for them.”
