High-flying Optus Stadium attraction gives thrill-seekers vertigo
There’s an adrenaline-pumping new attraction at Optus Stadium – and it’s going to have thrill-seekers lining up around the block.
The Vertigo experience allows brave fans to step off the roof and walk out beyond the edge of the stadium – harnessed from above and with no handrails – allowing them to lean out and look down over the turf.
6PR and Nine News Reporter Jake Battrick says the 42-metre high experience isn’t for the faint-of-heart.
“Hanging over the edge, it was truly remarkable,” he told Oliver Peterson on Perth LIVE.
“To put it in perspective, you’re in your harness and you walk out, it looks like the top of a can-opener.
“You walk out attached to your cable… and you can have your feet on the edge and lean over the edge, so it looks like you’re free-falling.”
