Former Hey Dad..! star Robert Hughes will be released on parole and deported to the UK.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told 6PR Breakfast host Gareth Parker the convicted paedophile was granted parole after being in prison since 2014 over 10 sexual and indecent assault offences committed in the 1980s.

The victims were aged between seven and 15 years old at the time of the offences.
