Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has thrown his support behind outgoing Premier Mark McGowan labelling him as an “extraordinary Premier”.  

Speaking from Adelaide, Prime Minister Albanese told Oliver Peterson on 6PR Perth Live, McGowan was a positive factor helping contribute to last year’s federal election. 

“I choose to launch my campaign in Western Australia, we won four federal seats in WA”… “The difference those seats in WA meant we had a clear majority,” Prime Minister Albanese said.
