Health experts welcome government’s rigorous vape crackdown

Health experts across the country have gladly welcomed the Federal Government’s proposed vape laws, which include plain packaging of e-cigarettes and a limit on vape flavours.
The government is throwing $234 million behind its plan to make the potentially lethal products less attractive to users, especially young adults and children.
Australian Council of Smoking and Health Co-CEO Laura Hunter said the health industry had been waiting for these specific changes for a while.
“We’re seeing all vapes except those with a prescription being stopped at the border, essentially ending that black market which is giving access to our young people,” Ms Hunter said.
