The UK is banning headers from soccer training due to the ongoing research about head trauma and injuries; a Perth soccer coach says he fully supports the move.

Children’s welfare should be top priority and according to David Clayton, the owner of the Football Academy in Wangara.

“I’m 100% behind it,” Mr Clayton told 6PR Breakfast.
“We opened the Football Academy in 2016 and in four years we’ve never had a header drill in that building… we’ve never done it.”
