Jim Cardile, who introduced fireworks to Western Australia 70 years ago, sadly passed away at the age of 85 on Monday.

Click PLAY to hear Jim’s story.

Jim’s son, Rob Cardile of Cardile Fireworks, reminisced with Perth Today host Simon Beaumont about his father’s legacy and the five generations the Cardile family have been in the industry.

“Dad brought in the first fireworks for New Year’s Eve in Perth at Gloucester Park,” he said.
