SES volunteer Greg ‘Bluey’ Chalmers has described the moment he found missing toddler Anthony ‘AJ’ Elfalak in regional New South Wales.

The three-year-old had been missing for four days when he was found by Bluey in a creek around 500 metres from his home in Putty.

“I put my hand on his should and I gently said ‘AJ, it’s Bluey here’,” he told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast.

“And he looked around, and he saw me, and he gave his biggest smile like you wouldn’t believe.”
