A new statistic has revealed 70 per cent of young people believe they will never be able to buy a home while 100,000 West Australians are still living with their parents.

Housing Industry Association chief economist Tim Reardon told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live there are many factors stopping people from buying a home.

“It’s harder than ever to get a mortgage,” said Mr Reardon.
