Cemetery Board in the dark over ‘Culture of Risk’ report
The weight of scrutiny continues to weigh down the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board, with more documents revealing a “culture of risk” in how the $6 million profit-garnering institution handled contracts.
Gary Adshead has recieved a second document relating to interior issues with the organisation, claiming the results of an internal survey were so bad, they were “heavily sanitised” and “significantly edited” before being provided to board members.
Gary Adshead addressed the issue on 6PR Mornings, claiming a relatively recent clean out of the MCB’s governing authority means there is not much evidence left to connect to clear concerns from within the Board.
“It does mean that neither she nor the board knew why a risk culture report was heavily censored – I’m assuming by some senior management,” Mr Adshead said.
