Grand Final Eve: the People’s Parade

The countdown to Perth’s first AFL grand final is well and truly underway.
In place of the usual parade, the City of Perth is hosting a “peoples parade” through Murray Street Mall this afternoon.
Fans are encouraged to gather from 1pm at the western end of the mall (Bulldogs) and eastern end of the mall (Melbourne) for a 1.30pm start.
All week, Forrest Place has been transformed into Footy Place – with players from other AFL teams, coaches and mascots greeting punters.
AFL players and legends will also appear at Footy Place and feature in Q&As from 11.30am.
St George’s College will entertain the crowd until the People’s Parade enters Footy Place at 1.30pm.
WA’s virus scare earlier in the week hasn’t disrupted plans for the big game tomorrow.
