Government reverses deportation of family with disabled child

Simon Beaumont

A family who was almost forced to leave Australia due to their child being classed as a potential burden on the health system will now be able to stay in the country.

Krishna Aneesh was contacted by Immigration Minister Andrew Giles who informed her that her family, including her son, were to be granted permanent residency.

“We were literally hopeless for a few days before the minister’s office contacted us,” Ms Aneesh told Gary Adshead onĀ 6PR Mornings.
