The government has announced a new streamlined approach for compensation claims by military personnel after a backlog of over 42,000 claims.

The Federal Government is promising to make changes which will make it easier for veterans to claim compensation.

Veterans Affairs Minister Matt Keogh told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live the system is in desperate need of change.

The legislative reform that we are proposing for consultation now, is to fix up more than a century’s worth of legislation for veterans’ entitlements,’ said Mr Keogh.
