WA’s nationally renowned parenting author and educator, Maggie Dent paid a visit to Perth Live to discuss her exciting new book all about girlhood.

Maggie told Oliver Peterson the book focuses on the development period in girls from birth to age eight, using 5000 survey results and her own experiences as an educator, counselor, mother and grandmother to create her new masterpiece.

“I wanted to work out whether it was true if they were a little bit sharper, with incredible imaginations and a little bit more complicated. And we found significant difference.”

Oly further asked Maggie whether she has noticed a difference in young parents in today’s times.

“There’s been a huge change. There’s way too much information out there and parents feel way too much pressure to get it right,” she said.
