Gary Adshead has taken aim at the state government over the progress and transparency of the redevelopment of the East Perth power station.

Premier Mark McGowan announced the “revitalization” of the station in 2020, promising it would create 1900 construction jobs and $1 billion worth of investment.

However, Gary Adshead has highlighted one of the key backers of the project, Kerry Stokes’ Australian Capital Equity, has pulled funding.

“So what happened to all the transparency?” Gary asked on 6PR Mornings.

“Where was the government keeping the taxpayers up to date about a public asset.”
